Third Party

We perform an ITC (Information Trust
Corporation) enquiry to establish if the third
party will be in a position to pay for the
damages and to obtain contact details.
We then perform an AKTEX (Deed Search) enquiry
on the third party to establish if they have any
property registered in their names, and what the
details are.
We also establish whether the third party has
any other vehicle's registered in their names.
Once we have established all the details of the
third party, we contact them telephonically and
establish whether the vehicle is insured. If
they do have insurance, we obtain the details
and submit this to you. If the third party is
not insured, we will advise you accordingly,
with a contact address where the Final Demand
can be submitted directly to them.
We also obtain copies of accident reports and
witness statements, if required.
Costs - R870,00 (inc VAT) per tracing.

Mini
Investigations:

A mini investigation is conducted
telephonically.
We contact the client and witnesses and enquire
about the circumstances regarding the loss. We
obtain all the information required from SAPS
and attach these printouts to our report. At
SAPS, we enquire whether the case was reported,
what time, date and by whom. We establish from
where the "complainant" stated that the vehicle
was stolen or hijacked and at what time. We also
request the investigating officer or Docket
Store Clerk to read the statement to us
telephonically to see if there are any
discrepancies. The scene of the crime is also
verified. SAPS also note the insurance companies
interest, and proof thereof will be provided.
We have a Border Post enquiry performed on the
vehicle, the insured and the driver.
A Hire Purchase Inquiry (HPI) is done on the
vehicle to verify whether it was manufactured,
and still under a Hire Purchase Agreement and
with whom.
We perform an Information Trust Corporation
(ITC) enquiry on the insured and the driver. An
enquiry is performed through SAPS regarding the
criminal status and if the insured has ever been
noted as a complainant in any criminal matter.
All documents and keys usually collected are
verified and attached to our report.
If we suspect that fraud has been committed, or
that a claim should be repudiated, we would
recommend a full investigation.
Our reports take no longer than 10 working days
from the time we recieve the instruction until
the report is completely finalised and
delievered.
Cost - R1000, 00 + Vat
Should a full investigation be required, the
normal fee of R2.50 per kilometre and R250.00
per hour will be charged, plus 14% VAT per full
investigation. If the fee for the mini
investigation has been paid for, it will then be
deducted from the total invoice. |
